Belinda Lopez is a writer, documentary (audio) maker and researcher fascinated by the stories we tell each other. That covers a whole lot of things: anthropology, history, human rights, literature and journalism.

She was shortlisted for the 2020 Australian/Vogel’s Literary Award, the Australian Human Rights Awards and Amnesty Media Awards, and awarded prizes from the United Nations and New York Festivals.

Her poetry, essays and stories have been published and broadcast in Australia and internationally.

Previously, she was a producer on the international human rights documentary program The State We’re In, EP and host of Australian community storytelling show All the Best and co-founder of ABC’s This is About podcast.

She has also served as an editorial advisor on award-winning and nominated film and audio documentaries.
